M. G. Mader is a Canadian-Australian writer and town planner. He has authored three previous books. He has a strong interest in history, local governance, and politics. He works in local government within the Victorian planning system and is also managing director of Downingfield Press. He divides his time between writing, publishing, and town planning. He studied at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and Cape Breton University.
